Hi all. I have a question for the knowledgeable types on here. Remington make the M700 in both long and short. Did they every make a mid sized action? I think I can remember reading an article years ago about a fella with a 257 Roberts on a Rem that was of medium length, but I could and have been known to be wrong before. I have a CDL chambered in 257 Roberts they made for one year back in 2006 I think. It is less than ideal, as the mag and throat length hold the cartridge back.

The one year they made the 257rob as the “classic” like in 1982 it was a long action. Every other 257rob they made has been on a short action. It needs to be on a long action
In the later 90's Remington made a small run of Classic long action 257's in stainless. They had 22" barrels. I owned one for a short time.
