Remington identification

Can anyone enlighten me to the model number of the Remington rifle from back around the 60's or 70's that was in a laminated stock, bolt action, short barrel, I think in caliber .222, with a ventilated rib. I thought it was a model 600 but I cant find anything like it on the web. It was an attractive little rifle, as rifles go, but just not real popular. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Mohawks and 660 didn't have the rib IIRC, I think the few 223's and 35 rem's had laminated stocks available. Magnums definitely. I had a 222, but someone wanted it more than I did. The 350 RM is a bit of a handful off the bench.

The magnums that I saw had a rib. They also offered this in a 6mm Remington. In later years Remington did a release of these with laminated stocks but with the Model 7 action.

My Remington 600 Mohawk in 243 Win. Bought new back in the day for $89.
Stock refinished, glass bedded. 18" barrel.
Should have replaced the plastic trigger guard with steel, but didnt.

Just some information and not meant to get off track. Look up another nice rifle Remington made in 2003-2004. It was the Model 673 known as the Guide rifle. Made on the model seven action with steel ventilated rib, gloss laminated stock and iron sights. Chambered in 350 REM mag, 6.5 REM mag, 300 SAUM and 308. They were really nice rifles. Sorry for the sidetrack.

NBKKY - That's the one! I'd like to find one in the smaller caliber, preferably the .222, if one was made. I'm not a fan of big or magnum. Too old and too slight of build.

Thanks for identifying that for me and for the photo.
