Remington factory 140 core lokts 7mm08 OAL???

I was given 11 Remington factory 140gr core lokts . My intention was to just use these to do a barrel break in on a Remington 700LSS. I shot 1 and cleaned for the first 4 shots and then shot 2 and cleaned which left me 5 rounds left. I fired the 5 remaining rounds to be shocked that they went into under a 1/2" group. I then moved on to my handloaded SST's, and Ballistic tips. The handloads did not perform like the cheap factory rounds. I was running my loads on the high end where as i understand the factory rounds are on the slow side. Im looking for the OAL on the factory rounds so i can load up some 140 core lokts. The gun is only to be used for PA whitetails and i have no need for aerodynamic tips so i have no problem sitting behind a core lokt if that is what she likes. If anyone has any of these laying around that they can measure i would greatly appreciate it .

Your in Luck,
Of the 4 rounds I have left,
2 @ 2.750
2 @ 2.755
Case head to bullet nose tip.

They also where the factory rounds that preformed best In my son's 7-08,

Best load I made for his rifle was Barnes 120TTSX with H4895, the key was a huge leap, 120 off the lands, !!

Thank you very much sir. I was going to try that length out to 2.800OAL as the books state. I figured Remington was going to be right around the manuals.
Thank You
RYAN

Have tried those Remington core lokts factory in a 270, 130 grain, shot extremely well, small groups. .35 for 3 shots from a Tikka T3 lite. well kept secret and I understand the bullet is a tough stay together type and would be ideal for deer or elk.

Yes the core lokt has never failed myself nor any of my family members. I watched dad drop a 30" mule deer at 370 yards with his 300Weatherby and factory core lokts. The deer folded and dropped. Dad is now 79 years old and when he comes over and looks around at my reloading supplies he just shakes his head and laughs. He has used core lokts and before that Hornady spire points all his life and does not believe in all these premium bullets. His famous quote is " Pop both lungs and where is he going?" Like most of the younger generation i have fell victim to the premium bullet craze.
