Midway shows 357 Max Remington brand brass in stock. Just FYI. I am in SC and Midway did charge me sales tax for the first time. When I asked I was informed Supreme Court ruled as of 1-1-2019 internet companies had to collect local and state sales tax. Anybody else heard this??????????

It's been suggested, written and voted on then passed into law to go into effect as of Jan 1, 2019. It was under discussion for a couple of years at least. Most of us were digging our heels in for the onslaught.:(

Must be your first order of the year? I have been charged sales tax by most suppliers on orders this year. But even prior to that, when filing my state income tax (CO), I was asked to enter the purchases I made that sales tax was not collected on, and I was charged tax by the state.

WA. State doing the same of course. Bought a few used items on Flea Bay, and got hit for 9% additional, even though the items came from Michigan and Pennsylvania.

Brownell's and Graf's have not charged me tax so far this year. Hopefully that will continue, as TN charges 9.75%, and when you add shipping there's no reason to shop online if you can buy locally. Unfortunately, there are few places in the local area that stock the items that I want.

Law hasn't changed, just never been enforced- you were expected to send in sales tax for out of state purchases decades ago. About the only thing it ever got enforced on were big ticket items like cars.

Why it isn't done at point of sale is beyond my comprehension.

BTW, Starline has .357 Max brass in stock, and they had not charged me sales tax on my last order, but that was before Jan'19.
