How Are Remington Bolt Handles Attached To The Bolt = Silver Solder , Tig Weld , Other ? I Want To Remove Original and Add A Tactial From PTG ! Gunsmith Sugestions and Price ?

Remington (non custom shop) model 700s have silver solders bolt handles. Lead hammer or soft board will take them off most of the time. If you are going to replace or reposition the handle have the gunsmith remove it. I have seen them bend and break off.
Dan Armstrong does a great job taking them off and locating and timing them then tig welding them back on.
