Remington barrel question

So i have a rem 700 sps 20 in barrel .Its a factory barrel, iv noticed that i get good groups for about 20 rounds. Then i run a brush with shooters choice ,and a few patches with a jag . good Groups return . Is this normal? Do i have a decent barrel ?

They take a couple hundred rounds to break in and what I found was using bore paste in a factory barrel helped smooth it out alittle.

I have a 700 BDL that was like that. Then I firelapped/ruined it as some would say, and it is far less picky about bullets, seating depth, and well everything! The only down side is I don't clean it nearly as often, and I will probably die before it needs a new barrel. But firelapping ruins barrels, so don't think about doing it.
