Remington 788 .223 mag question

If anyone has a Remington 788 in .223, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what the maximum overall length that magazine will accept.

Thanks in advance

If you follow your reloading manual it will give you an idea of what will fit. 55 grains and under. 55 grains is 2.200 .

The magazine is 2.310-2.315" inside. In my gun 2.290" is just off the lands and it fits about perfect with enough wiggle room.

Same mag as used for the 222 (in the 788), also measures 2.310", but my COL won't help you.
