Remington 742 .308 loads?

I recently picked up a NIB Remington 742 in .308 from 1978 that I will be passing on to my son. I have completely disassembled/cleaned/lubed the rifle as it still had the cosmoline like coating on most everything metal. I load .308 for our bolt rifles but was wondering if anybody had a pet load for the 742 or it's variants in .308.

And before the advice to throw it away or use it for a boat anchor starts, I had 2 of these rifles in 30-06 back in the early 70s and never had a problem BUT I was meticulous with keeping them clean and very minimally lubricated. I know a lot about what causes them to malfunction so I take mitigating steps to avoid ever getting there. Now.....back to my question......

Just guessing that my load for an old Savage 99 I have might work. 44.5 gr. IMR 4064 with a Hornady or Sierra 150 gr. and WLR primers.

Now granted mine is a lever gun but your auto should digest it safely and do well with that load

AR10 loads / 10 Twist
43.0 H4895 w/ Sierra 175's (For 16" Barrels)
or
44.0 W760 w/ Sierra 175's (For 20-22" Barrels)
I prefer the W-760 load as the recoil impulse is much smoother and less snappy
