Remington 700 VLS bullets

I have a Rem 700 VLS with a 26" heavy barrel and a 1:9.125 twist. I want a good accurate bullet that I can deer hunt with, but I don't know what kind of bullet is made for that twist. I bought some Sierra Mathcking 107gr but they are for 7-8" twist and they wont fit in my magazine. I also want a higher velocity, if it can all happen together. I tried some nosler 70gr HPBT with 47.5gr IMR4350 last night and they worked pretty well, but I cant get that exact bullet anymore I don't think.

with that twist, i would stay at or under 100gr

Have been very successful on mule deer with a 6mm Rem. Best bullet overall has been Nosler's 95 gr Ballistic Tip over 48 gr of Reloader 22.

Accurate, and very good on deer. Am getting complete penetration, even through a leg bone as well as the chest, and it causes absolute carnage in the chest cavity. I've found this bullet to be the most accurate bullet I've used in the rifle.

Nosler's 100 gr partition surprised me - producing 2.5" 3 shot groups at 300 yards from a well worn 22" sporter barrel.

Their 100 gr Solid Base also performs well, as does Sierra's 100 gr Gameking. Quite a few different bullets that do well in the 6mm Rem for deer.

A buddy of mine swears by the 85 gr Barnes TSX and has taken antelope as well as mule deer with his 6mm Rem in the past few years.
