remington 700 opinion

my local gun shop has a rem 700 lightweight tactical in .308 trade in. it has a 20"barrel with 3 slabs milled of fiberglass reinforced stock and a decent trigger. i would like to ad it to my collection to pull bouble duty as a hunting rifle and a range rifle. any info would be great thanks.

If the price is right grab it..... should be a good carry gun if the price is right....

With the 308 you don't loose a lot of velocity when you shorten the barrel like other calibers do. It will make a great hunting rifle.
