Remington 700 in 300 RUM Wyatts Magazine Box MBE-3

Hey gents, had my Remington 700 in 300RUM machined for the longer magazine box kit from Wyatts, comes with a box, follower and spring. Bolt stop was modified as well for the longer box. All is fit up well however with 2 rounds in the mag box the top round (left side) wants to stove pipe upon slow feeds. The bolt travels about 1/2" and the back of the cartridge jumps almost right out of the action creating a jam. I noticed the mag box is slightly cut at the top on both sides presumably for "bending" or box tweeking. There is even a note in the instructions to "remove" these sides??? Anyone with any experience with this magazine mod and the 300 Rum cartridge? TIA

If that's the staggered box, either the feed lips need opened or trimmed down to expose more of the factory action's feed lips.

If it's the single feed box, the lips need pushed together more. Make sure they're not bound up against the receiver.
