Remington 700 in 243 load recommendation

I loaded up several variations of the recommendations mentioned here and will be trying them out on Wednesday; if it stops raining. Thanks for all the input. It was very helpful.

hunt nut,,,,the .243 has performed well for over 50 years with 4350 and Sierra (or Berger)bullets,,(70-100 gr) ,,,these newfangeled (dual core-super penetrating-lead free)bullets dont kill any better and certainly dont have the accuracy potential,(I have tried them all !!!),,,get back to basics,,Roger

I'm going to try those Sierra bullets. I'd like to push up to 100 for some of the bigger bucks I've been seeing. Some of them have been close to 200 pounds. Thanks for the info.

The 85's work pretty well on deer?

the 95g SST is a tough bullet, and 4350 will be a great powder, start at 41.0g and work up, you will hit a node pretty quick. If you can find some R#26, you will get some amazing accuracy with speed out of this bullet, perhaps 150 fps more than IMR 4350.

Sounds good. I'm also going to work on action screw torque. I think I may be on the high end of the range. Many threads have suggested 65 inch pounds, but others suggest much lower. I'm going to drop it down and then gradually work back up. That may make a big difference as well. Thanks for the input.
