Remington 700 in 2023; anyone bought one?

As the title says; has anyone bought a 700 since they've come back? Specifically, I'm asking about the BDL/CDL or similar trim. Do they seem well made? Finished ok? How do they shoot? Is the 3-4 pound factory Timiney a good trigger, or did you replace it anyway?

The one I have had the screw in front of the trigger. Stock rem trigger. Dont know about the timney. Triggers are useless if they cant be adjusted from the outside. IMHO

Report I saw and a blip on one of the shooting shows, is that the Timney triggers is adjustable for around 3lb to 5lb.
Check with Timney techs and see what they say about the trigger and it's adjustment and don't listen to rumors or personal opinions. Then you will know for sure.

I fondled a three new 700's at one of our local stores. The finish was better than previous ones. One of them was the Long Range model with a bedding block stock.

Sadly, none had any mechanical primary extraction....the same long bolt tube issues that plagued the later ones before this latest rebirth. :(

I've had a 700 Alpha 1 in 308W on order. A few 6.5 'Man Buns' (Creedmoor) dribble in now and then but who knows when they'll ship the 308's.

Is there a way of measuring this besides holding the bolt handle forward and looking to see if the bolt comes back when it hits the cam?

I saw a 700 BDL 300 win mag in a store about a month ago. It was brand new but I’m not sure when it was made. The fit and finish was really nice but it didn’t look like the ramp on the bolt touched the ramp on the action at all. I love those rifles but hate to pay a grand and have to have the bolt handle relocated and replace the trigger.

I have a 700 Cdl in .280 I love it wish ammo was more prevalent. I just inherited a Sako .308 so that will now be my backup but I have always loved the Remington 700's. My grandfather had a 700 7mag Adl and Bdl and I hunted with that for several years. I also have a original Remington 30.06 that was my great grandfather's. I would by another Remington but I know quality is not the same today as in the past but I love my .280.

Their new trigger sucks. Almost .050" of creep. Lowest I could get it was 3.25lbs. Replaced it with a trigger teck. CDL great rifle other than that.
I know this is an old thread but which model trigger did you replace it with? Was it an easy swap? Thanks you for your help. Take care.
