Remington 700 bolt face problem

Hello guys. So while cleaning and inspection of my Remington 700 .308. I notice the face of the bolt is distorted. The rim of the extractor is ripping from the bolt. If there any repairing this or do I need to get a new one? Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Yea that is weird, looks like the extractor or possibly a case rim caught the edge and
bent the lip a bit. Looks like its cracked also. Hard to tell.

Did you ever have hard extraction and had to gorilla the case out?
Not sure if that can be repaired, possibly tig welded and machined but the
cost would be more than a replacement bolt.

Don't know if Greg at Gre-Tan is taking any work but he could fix it. And if you ever plan on shooting Palma cases, he can also turn your firing pin assembly and bush the bolt.

Looks like the damage is in the perfect spot to be cut out.

Call and talk to Chad at LRI,Inc. He can fix that bolt easy and put in a M-16 extractor. A Sako extractor is held by the spring, M-16's are pinned in place. Bolt is opened up to remove the extractor grove, bushing is soldiered in place then the extractor cut is made.

Send it in for an m-16 extractor, bush the firing pin and get extraction timed all at the same time. Stay away from Sako extractors, a one eyed shooter that told me that.

I know some guys are good with using or having Sako extractors installed but if I'm having a extractor installed in a Rem 700 bolt I always use M-16 type. The fact that they're pinned and can't come shooting back out at me makes me feel better about using them over the Sako extractors.

Thank you again guys. I going to be doing some research on the sako and M-16 type extractors.
Im happy to here I can just upgrade the bolt and its not a total lose. That's a huge relief.
