Remington 700 action/barrel shank diameter

Will a 1.200 shank still work on a Remington 700 action(and look ok) versus the standard 1.250? Thanks

Sorry about that....I am referencing a new barrel blank....not threaded. I see barrel manufacturers listing the chamber end of the barrel blank(shank) with 1.200 and 1.250 diameters. Just wondering if the 1,200 will work on a Remington 700 action versus the 1.250 or will it look out of proportion to the receiver when it is threaded, chambered and fit to the receiver. Thanks

You would end up with a shoulder of about .070" bigger than tenon; plenty and would look a helluva lot better than the original.
