I have a Remington 700 BDL I want to sell. It was an impulse buy that was going to be part of a project. It's not going to happen at least not with this rifle.
So I bought it used and it's in excellent condition. I have not shot it as I've decided I don't need to start up with another caliber. The markings on the barrel are only Remington's address and .308 Win. It's 20" long with threaded muzzle and a well fitted thread protector. Looks factory to me. The twist is 1 in10". The finish on the metal is matte black but it's not the cheap finish like the SPS models, I just don't know what they call it. The bolt shows very little wear, only a few scratches from something in the action. The boltface looks great with no primer ring at all.
The stock is HS Precision I think. It has the bedding block with no added bedding. The forearm is a bit wider and deeper than my Varmint model, it has dual sling swivels up front and one in the rear. It also has palm swells which actually fit my hand pretty well although I know some folks don't like them. The buttpad is marked Remington and is in good shape.
My friend at the gunshop I frequent says he's pretty sure it's a police model given the shape of the stock and the dimensions and threading on the barrel. I thought it was too but different models were made at different times. The trigger is XMark or XMark Pro. The serial number has an RR prefix and a K suffix.
I have some pics but they may be too big. I might have to retake them. I'm looking for $1,000 for it plus the freight. I'm in Iowa so a meeting is possible.
