I had this built about 12 years ago and just do not shoot it so it’s time to find a new home.
-REM 700 action that was trued and bolt fluted.
-24” fluted #5 1:8 I believe it is a benchmark.
- McMillan Remington Hunter stock, has not been bedded yet.
- Timney trigger
- Factory BDL bottoms metal (can swap for Williams)
- 2 piece 20 mos scope bases.
Weighs 8lb 3oz as shown on my crappy scale.
Round count is sub 250 and the rifle only has a few very light safe dings and marks from use. It looks virtually new.
It was put together by local Smith and shoots 140 ttsx and 162 A-max’s sub 1/2-5/8 with minimal load work up.
This rifle was built to the original PO Ackley specs before Nosler submitted their design to SAAMI and I always used Lapua 30-06 brass. There is some debate whether saami 280ai brass will headspace or not but I’ve never had any to try.
I have standard Rcbs dies for it as well.
