I ran across a Remington 581, today. Looks to be in average shape. Price was $275, is that too much?

Thanks

If I wanted an unmolested 581, that seems to be the going price. In the past decade I’ve seen them range from $200 to $300.

Very accurate rifle. I shot a friends and had to have one of my own. Back in the day when they were available new.

Still shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards with some cheap bulk ammo, not all.

The bolt is tricky to get back in, but easy once learned.

Buy it.

I've been shooting a 581s past year, great rifle, just upgraded to cz452 in pharr stock for hunter class, and bought a 541t for std. Rifle class.

I'm going to let the 581s go if anyone interested.
