I have owned this rifle since 2016. It shot rather well in stock form. However, I contacted Brian Voelker to work some magic with it. I explained how I wanted to minimize costs, and he mentioned he had a new 22LR takeoff barrel from a Sako Quad Rifle. I decided to go with that. Suffice it to say, this rifle shoots very well after the work Brian did. All that work and hardware are spelled out in the attached invoice. It also has a Remington 788 trigger installed and reworked by Brian.
I only shot 100 rounds of Eley Target, Eley Match, and Lapua Center-X before I put it away for safe keeping. I do not have those targets, but it did shoot well. I figured before I tried to sell it, I would take it to the range and run a few more rounds through it to make sure previous results were not an anomaly. I still had the same lots of ammo from 2017, so I used those. After cleaning I fired 5 fouling shots followed by 1 ten-shot group. I then cleaned again for the next ammo. As you can see, either ammo seems to work well. I only had one flag set up and it was a cold switchy wind here in NY. All in all, this rifle is a shooter.
The barrel has less than 150 rounds down the bore and the stock has some wear, but not as much as one might expect.
This is a rather unique rifle, so I am not sure what price to put on it. So, I would like $600 for the rifle only. If that’s too optimistic on my part, then feel free to make an offer you feel is more reasonable.
If you want the Leupold VX-Freedom 4-12x40 Tri-MOA Reticle scope and rings. I would like $275.
Prices include shipping.
Personal checks or money orders are preferred forms of payment.
I have many more pictures if you would like to see them.
