I purchased a Remington 40XC back in the early 1990's to use as a Highpower match rifle. This is the 7.62 version, stainless barrel, action cut for loading with stripper clips, in a gray Kevlar stock. I eventually drifted away from across the course shooting, but I hung onto the rifle. Over time, I shot the rifle in a few any rifle/any sight matches with a scope mounted. Most recently I put the barreled action in an AICS chassis and shot it infrequently as a fun rifle in midrange F-Class. The rifle is still exceptionally accurate when I do my part, but I recently put it back into original configuration and I'm trying to decide what to do with it.
I really need to thin out my rifle collection and I'm wondering - does this rifle have any value today? I can't see it being a competitive match rifle today, but I kind of hate to part it out if it has any value in original condition. Not a rifle you see frequently from what I can tell.
