In the model designation 40-XB H2, what does the H2 stand for?

The 1970s guns had a choice of barrels. H2 is heavy, no taper. I bought the S2 lighter, tapered 27 1/4" barrel.

More of the 70s guns. My shooting buddy had the BR in 222. Very accurate.

Thanks!. It's a great shooting rifle but I've never enjoyed all the noise and recoil. I'll bet it hasn't seen 100 rounds the whole time I've owned it. Didn't need it when I bought it but it was love at first sight as soon as I saw that stock. Here's the last 5 I shot with it and still have the group that came with it from Remington way back then.
