Remington 40-X Trigger

I have just recently acquired a new Remington 700 SA in .308 caliber. Because it is a new Rifle I thoroughly expected that I would be replacing the X-mark Pro trigger with a Jewell. However, when I received it I discovered that the trigger did not conform to the one pictured in the manual. Mine has an external trigger adjustment screw, slotted) located in front of the bolt release button rather than a set screw that is accessed thru a hole in the trigger. After some research I believe that what I have is a 40-X trigger. However, the only information I can find on that model trigger pertains to rimfire rifles. I prefer a trigger pull of about 20 ounces and this one seems to have a pretty crisp break when set to that weight withe virtually no creep. I think I like it. Do I indeed have a 40-X trigger and are they any good? Is the mechanism the same as a rimfire 40-X and, if not, would someone have a diagram of how the mechanism works?

The 40x trigger always had the adjustment screw in front of the trigger and you adjusted it from the bottom. The rimfires were the same as the centerfire
