this was a loaded round that I had carried deer hunting a couple of times. It started looking pretty ratty after it get wet a couple times, and from general handling while hunting. I decided to polish it up, and found a crack in the body... it's barely noticeable! While taking the picture, the camera found a split in the shoulder as well. The one on the shoulder is so small, that I can barely see it... only spotted it in the camera!
Note, I CAN FEEL the crack in the body from the inside with a little hooked 'spike' that I use to check for case head separation. I could have caught this before loading it if I would have checked.
Also, this is a Dasher case. The crack in the body is where the old 6br shoulder met the body (JUST below the 6br shoulder)... thought that was interesting.
