You think it’s an original? I have one that looks just like that but someone said it was not an original Remington. I don’t know for sure either way.

The two 788 stocks I have look like that except mine don’t have the cutouts ,one on each side at the front of the comb.
Mine might be from a different time of manufacture.
The cutouts look factory, as the finish matches.
I don’t think 788’s came with sling swivels.

Yes, this came off of one of the later models I am pretty sure.

I added mine to a late 70’s model. Got a neat little kit from Williams that had a bit and a adjustable countersink that slid up and down on the bit.
