REM 700 DBM Replacement

I have a LA 700 that was originally a DBM rifle. I'm presently in the process of starting a new build using the action. However, I want to go with an ADL type stock with which I will use a single shot follower. Would I have to, "glue" in the follower as there would be no magazine spring involved? Would that work? But, gotta find a stock first that will accept a heavy barrel.

Your issue with a 700 DBM receiver is it was manufactured with out feed rails....so the action will always be a DBM or single shot w/ sled or follower.

Youre going to have to fill that adl magwell up with something to support the follower or its going to break loose and fall in at the most inopportune time.

If you are happy with your current stock, make or buy a single shot follower that fits in the magwell.
