rem 600 build

Kicking around the idea of a 600 build. If you were going to build on a 600 action, which 7mm wildcat cartridge would you use, and why? Thinking 24" hvy sporter bbl, and would like to see 3000+ fps with 140 to 160 gr balls. Don't want to deal with feeding issues. Something efficient with inherent accuracy. Thoughts?

You are asking a lot for that combo, the short magazine is going to be the problem.

I agree. The 284 win or shehane would come close. Probably just not worth the effort with the limitations i set.

How about a 7mm x 6.5x47 Lapua, it might get you close to your wants....

I gave up on the thought of doing this. Doesn't make sense to me to build something,unless it out performs factory stuff. Someone wanted to swap me actions, but i'll keep my long action.
