This is a creative as i can get. I think he is a liar.
Not so harsh. I will say some of these are quite rediculus statements and some should at least make it believable or let people know they have not been able to duplicate that performance the last 999,999 times they tried to. I'll just say SHOW ME!!
Now that out of the way I would say the 40X, I have only shot mine a little over a month now. But I am already shooting it better than I did the Super Match 54 I sold 15 years ago, and doing it with the same lot of Eley BR GOLD I kept when I sold the Annie. I will say I can reproduce this with perfect conditions, I am not a great condition reader, and I have proven that shooting this rifle in calm cloudy and cool conditions. But my on breezy sunny warm days this seems to afect my results, now I am better than a lot at reading conditions and controling my shots, but get my but kiked regularly by guy's that do it better.
With that said here is what the gun is capable of. all at 50 yards. and perfect conditions with very expensive ammo. first one is 10 shots at I have repeated this 10 shot performance a few times, the rim on the unfired cartridge mic's .270"
and here is 20 on a more than perfect evening at sundown with no wind, dental floss wouldn't move. and my best ever with any rimfire.
and with cheap old Wolf Match Extra sorted by weight, and a selected Lot# out of 3 different lot's still under .350" @ 50 yards
Back when I had My 54 SM I had good results shooting BR50 Matches I am just getting back into rimfire and will say this gun has the best by the best known gunsmith, others maybe as good but none better, but 15 years ago when I was competing with the 54 so did it. either one is an excellent choice, if weight is an issue the anie is a little lighter and can make a difference if a couple onces matter. If not I would make it a 40X, more available after market parts, made in USA as accurate as anything out there and that includes the custom stuff.
