Reloder 7, LOT 7

Being new to the .30 BR, I know that most use H4198 Extreme for powder; but, has anyone tried the old Reloder 7 (circa 1974)? I plan to try it with 115 gr. 10X and Knight 118 gr bullets. Both are made on .925 J-4 jackets. I have no idea of how much of this fast burning powder I should start with. Does anyone have any experience with it. Thanks, James Mock

HI James,,,,I have some circa 1954 and it is too fluffy to get enuff in the ctg case,,,,hope this helps,,,Roger

I have a good lot of it. From 2004 or so.. I treat it, weight wise, just like H4198. That lot is killer.

It is all that I've ever tried, but other people tell me that other lots vary enough that they can't get enough in a 30 BR case.
