Can a 300 win mag seating die and 300 win mag neck die be used to reload for a 308 Norma Mag? I would use a 308 norma full lengeth sizing die to make brass. I already have 300 win mag neck die set that is why I am asking, or any other suggestions.
The 30-.338 is a lot closer to the .308 Norma Mag. The 300 win mag is longer by about a .100". You need to look at the chamber drawings. You could make something to shoot with the 300 win but how good is the question.
You won't achieve much with the .300 Win Neck die because the .300 win is just that bit taller. You have a fine cartridge in the .308 Norma and I would give some serious consideration to puchasing a Redding 3 Die Set which includes your FL, Neck and Seater dies.
I form my .308 Norma brass using Winchester .300 Win Mag brass by running in into a FL Die and trimming to length. Be sure to use a qualitly lube like Hornady Unique or Imperial Wax when sizing. Finally anneal your brass after forming to prevent neck splitting.
