Reloading 108 ELDM 243Win with H414

I got a buddy that has a bunch of H414 powder that is wanting to load some 108 ELDM for his 243Win. I know this probably isn't the most optimized powder for this cartridge/bullet combination, but he's moving forward in this direction. So, I checked Hodgdens recommendation (105 Amax) and was wondering if anyone else out there had any experience with this combination (heavy bullet) and what kind of accuracy/speeds were you getting.

Thanks for any help you all can lend to get a decent load going here.

I don't think there is anyone who uses H-414 (w-760) with 105-110 gr bullets in the 243win.

However, tell you friend to give it a shot if he doesn't mind trying. And I recommend Magnum primers or 210m primers.

I've tried it with 105s in the 243 (groups & chrony)and most of the reloading books list H-414 with 105s in the 243. If your buddy is just loading a few coyote loads or to take to the quarry for targets he will be fine. If he is thinking of matches with an entry fee there are better choices.

Gets exactly what the book says which was very disappointing, max loads around 2900fps from 26" tube. RL23 on the otherhand... phew. That put the spankbang down... 3200fps.
