Reloader 33 in 264 Win Mag

According to Alliant this powder was specifically made for the 338 Lapua. Alliant shows 3 loads for the 264 in different powders.. I found the info below at the Nosler forum. As I recall H4831 was my powder of choice back in the 80's, when I was shooting a custom 264..

Guys have used in a lot of different cartridges beside 338's. It is like 50 BMG and shot in a lot of different guns besides a 50 cal. If you go to Longerange hunting and ask you will probably get an answer. I know one guy used it in a 6-284 and got more velocity then the H1000 he was using. I believe he said 150 FPS more and good accuracy. Matt

RL26 would work quite well in the 264 Win mag.
You are probably right. Everything we tried the RE33 in has shot really good and gave super velocities. The testing we done was in the bigger overbore cartridges and shot at 1000 yards. Most were 338's but we tried it in some 30 cals with good results. The RE33 gave good ES and about 100 to 150 more then other powders in the cartridges we tested. Most of them shot in the 4 to 5 inch range for 5 shots at 1000 yards. Matt
