Reloader 23 in 260

I have got a 2nd .260A.I. on the way. I plan on using RL-23. I believe it will be a superior powder to both H4350 and H4831SC>>>>>But I will soon find out!

hodgee 1000 shoots great in my 260AI with rdf bullits, I have an Xcal barrel 27" will it shoots from .35 to .59 not bad

Just started working with RL16 and RL23 in my 260AI, Hornady 147 ELD and a 26" barrel. Both powders maxed out at virtually the same velocity. Right around 2825 I started seeing a light ejector mark and slight primer craters. The bolt was as easy to open as usual. The RL16 maxed out at 43.0 gr and the RL23 maxed out at 46.0 grains. COAL was 3.035" -.020 off the lands, temp was 55 degrees. Just a quick max test, no idea yet of accuracy potential. In Quickloads after I adjusted burn rates to match my chronoed velocity both powders showed within 150 psi of each other. Interesting considering how the both showed max at virtually the same speed.

You should try imr 4955 with the same test, I have shot it in my creedmoor it showed good stuff but still working with it, plan on getting the 260s out and try rl26, rl16, imr 4955.

I've got great results with RL23 with the nosler 140gr rdf. I'm getting 2856fps from a 24" 6 groove 1:8 xcaliber barrel with only 44.5 grains. Using neck bushing sized Lapua brass, and CCI 200 primers.
