Reloader 15.5 and 90s

Anyone running this powder with 85.5s, 90s, etc? My limited experience is you cannot get enough powder in the case to reach serious pressure and it is a touch slower than Varget velocity wise. I like that it seems to have less pressure, if brass will last longer I'd be ok with giving up 30-40fps.

I already had a great shooting 7.7 twist 223 that produced excellent velocity with the 80VLD and Varget.
Always wanted to try heavier bullets so I had another 223 built using a 6.5 twist Krieger. My thinking was I shouldn't lose much speed and would gain some ballistic advantage past 600 yards. Turns out I hit pressure well before I should have with Varget and 90VLD, even with a long throat. Switching to 15.5 got me almost 100FPS gain over the Varget load and will much less pressure.
I have a couple hundred 85.5 and some day will get around to testing them with both Varget and 15.5 but it's not going to happen soon.

25.2gr I'm Starline 5.56 brass with CCI 41's. ~2870 out of my 30" barrel with SD's ~10. On thing to note: I've shot the same load with BR4's and it was ~50 fps slower with worse accuracy. Switched back to 41's and it went right back to where it was. I've shot a 200-15x at 1k with this load twice.

223 bolt gun with the ISSF .169 throat, single feeding.
I don’t have direct experience, but I was running out of room in my 22 PPC, so I suspect the 223 would face a similar problem. Accuracy was excellent, I can’t hardly find a bad combination for my 22 PPC!

I like 41s for warmer 223 loads in my bolt gun, 450s too. Never found an advantage using br4s personally.

Don't fear the crunch. I'm in the necks with it in 223
I am ever so slightly crunching at 25.0 of RL 15.5 with the 90 smk @ 2.033 CBTO or 2.56something COAL barely touching the lands. 2840 out of a 26", running out of Lapua brass so I am fine with keeping the pressure down a bit. I was running 85.5s with Varget/CCI 41s but it was a touch too hot I think. Need to find a lower node with that combo. Love the 85.5 though, great bullet in my experience.

Good source for 90 SMKs, hard to beat that price for the performance.

First string was great, overcast and cool. 197.10X. Then it heated up and mirage got heavy. Roll the excuses, I am shooting an 18X scope in mils and a Harris bipod, Protektor rear bag. Still had fun though, was fighting the rear bag a bit on the 2nd and 3rd string as well.
As good or maybe a bit better than the Berger 85.5s for me. Screenshotting was is weird on my tablet to excuse the photos with screen cover reflection.
