Release trigger???

What about a release trigger for rifle shooting? Thoughts?

They are specifically prohibited in all forms of NRA rifle shooting. Don't know about other sanctioning bodies.

Release triggers are used by a few box bird pigeon shooters to overcome flinch. They were used by trap shooters for the same reason. Not sure but I think they have been banned by the ATA. Banned for safety reasons.

I think they are legal with the ATA and sporting clays in the USA only but are they safe? I've seen some wild things happen…… jim

They are legal for ATA Trap shooting. I shoot ATA but I don't like them at all. Most disciplines have outlawed them for safety reasons, and I agree with that.
