Refit with M1 knobs

IMG_0002.jpg

Had an old one-inch tube 4.5-14x Leupold sitting around, decided I wanted easier windage and elevation adjustments. Leupold did it for $130 and turnaround time was less than two weeks. I'm entirely satisfied.

It's on my .300 WSM Win Model 70 mule deer rifle.

Regards, Guy

I sent a LR 6.5-20x40 back to Leupold's custom shop for the M1 knob treatment last year - the cost they quoted me was $165 w/shipping. It took several weeks, and then they called to tell me I'd overpaid them, and was offered the choice of a refund, Butler Creek covers, or a M1-style knob to replace the std. side-focus knob. I picked the new side-focus knob. When the scope arrived, I was disappointed to find that the M1 knobs didn't have the impact direction arrows engraved as the knobs in your photo have. I'm an old service rifle shooter, and can still manage to get confused over which way to turn the knobs during a match.

A knob change does not affect any of the original internal adjustments, it's only a knob. If you have a 1" tube and you want more adjustment you'll have to get a 30mm tube, or use a 25moa base.
