Redfield international bottomed out

Any help would be appreciated. I bought a pair of redfield international sights for my Winchester 52D. The rear sight is as low as the knobs will turn and it is still 6 or so inches high at 50 yards. Is there a course adjustment screw that you use before the elevation dial?

I guess I could have my gunsmith make a shim for the front sight but I hope I'm just overlooking something. I hope that the holes in my side mount are lined up.

Any help?

It sounds like you have the standard Winchester 52 front sight that has two steps, one step for out to 50 yards and one step for 100 yards. It is quick and easy to change the front sight between the two steps during a smalbore prone match.

Call Champions Choice. They will advise the correct two step base for your barrel length, and rear sight model. I *think* you want a .475" for the D model Winchester, but Charles will know the answer for sure.
