Redfield 6400

I have a Redfield 6400 16x that is sitting at L K Scope repair, the owner told me someone had replaced the front objective lens with one from a 3200 16x. I was wondering if anyone out here might know where I could get a lens for this particular scope, or a parts scope for that matter. Any help would be appreciated to say the least, already have 450.00 into this one that does not work. Thanks for looking.

Scooter,

those scopes haven't been made since the seventies or eighties so there is probably zero chance of any spare parts being available. I would try and contact the fella that runs this website as he has a few of those scopes listed and may have a few old damaged ones maybe that you could salvage parts from.

unertl.alexweb.net

You could also try Cheryl Ackerman at www.targetshooteroptics.com as they carry out servicing and blueprinting on those scopes.

Good luck,

Richard.

There was/is a place in texas that rebuilds Redfields....I will look for it...

Friend had a 6-18 Redfiled rebuilt. they did a great job for $95...but it took a year and a phone call to get it done...

Iron sight Inc

be advised that they take forever...small shop with not a lot of personality. But they did great work on the 6-18...it basically looked and operated like new when it was returned 14 months later, with no notice...

These are all repair places that were around a few years ago...not certain any still are but worth you looking into it. I used Ackerman 2 times on Weaver t scopes. he did ok for me, but I heard rumor he is done.

I don't know about Ackerman not doing business.
Lt year they did a power boost for one of my friends.
The last info though was only weaver and leupold scopes for a bump to 55x
The scope looks very good You get a retical of choice and a boost to 55X

I got my scope back, L K Scope repair did a fantastic job, A+ as far as repair goes, and very helpful and friendly to say the least. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
