Is the tombstone calibration to a certain caliber?
No. Tombstone ranges only.
BDC dials are, indeed, calibrated to three different ranges of cartridges, "A", "B", and "C".
Ahh, good ole Made In America scopes! That's an interesting reticle, BTW; I've never seen one of those before.
I took a 3-9x off an old Tikka a while back, and I was surprised at how good it looked (inside and out) for being over 30 years old.
