Redding vs. Forster: What FL bushing die is better?

With my 22-.250 my Redding FL bushing die INCREASED the runout substantially so I sent it back. Now have a .308 and looking for dies. Just wondering if the Forster FL bushing dies would be better. I'm considering the bushing die instead of having a regular FL die honed. Anyone out there have a experience with both of these dies?

Thanks.

I've had both and like the Forster better.
Once I know what bushing I need, I'll order a non-bushing FL sizer from Forster.
I feel it does a better job and it's a one step process. Less possible run-out.
If you have a lot of run-out, there's something else you need to look at.

Find your bushing or neck OD size
Hone, sandpaper, ream etc the neck ID of your FL die

I like Forster and Redding Equally, have had both apart to clean and didn't notice anything substantially better than the other
Have great results with either
Same with their micrometer seating dies
I DO like my Forster 6 BR FL sizing die better, sizes down to .467"

Best dies I own are Neil Jones, bad ass, but i may be behind the times

Bushing dies are meant to be used with cases having very concentric necks. If the necks aren't turned or have more than around .002 of variation, any brand bushing die can make things worse. Redding specifically mentions this.

Good shootin' :) -Al

Redding's website- Sizing down more then .008" with bushing, may cause runnout. Try sizing in 2 steps.

Lube the necks on outside. Lube inside if using expander. VERY LITTLE LUBE NEEDED.

Concentricity
Redding’s laboratory testing has consistently shown a correlation between the concentricity of a resized case
and the uniformity of the case neck wall thickness. Handloaders concerned with minimizing the runout of their
loaded ammunition should, at minimum, sort their cases for uniformity using a ball micrometer or the Redding
Case Neck Gauge and cull any cases that exhibit excessive thickness variation (over .0015”).
