Redding micrometer seating die

Has anyone tried to use a Redding micrometer seating die with a Dillon 450 press?
I am curious as to if this will work.

Yes, I have a 450 and do use a Redding Type S Full length bushing die and Competition seater (micrometer) in 223 for my Remington 700's and Contenders & Encores. They work very well. Take extra time setting up your conversion kit shell holder plate, clean & lubericated underneath, adjust all the slop (play) out but still turns easily. Make sure you have a case in each postion when making adjustments to the dies. The solid frame 450 will amaze you when set up and adjusted properly along with its maual thrower. I still use the single stage for batches of 100 or less.

When I load for the AR I use 223 Dillon dies mainly for the neck tension they provide vs the Redding bushing die.

The 450 is a good old loader.

Could you elaborate? Since any size Redding bushing in .001" increments is available, I'm curious about why the Dillon die is better.

I already had the Dillon dies for the 223. Nitrided bushings are about 20-22 dollars each. I'm not as fussy for the AR so I just use the Dillon dies and let um zip.
