Redding Full Length Sizing with a bushing

O K Guys, I'm new at this bushing die setup and operation. I have a few questions and I know this is the answer container. I ordered the 6.5 284 full length sizing die per Sinclair. I am loading for a new 6.5 284 Savage Factory rifle.I am ready to size my cases. Do I install my bushing before I full length size or go ahead and full length size without it and then add the bushing after firing my brass? Also, I noticed a smaller de-capping pin cap in the box. Do I swap that out when I put my bushing in? There is no info in the instructions as to these questions. Could someone please get me straight with this stuff?
I would appreciate it very much. Thanks, Bill

Billmo,,,,,If you use the bushing, then change out the expander ball for the black one in the plastic bag..If you use the right size bushing, you don't need the expander ball.

When you set up your dies, leave the bushing out until you get the die set up correctly. You should be bumping the shoulder back about .002 on a fired case. when you set the die up this way, it should size the rest of the case just right. After you get this done, then put the bushing in and set it up to re-size as much of the neck as you like.

You shouldn't have to re-size new cases except maybe to iron out a bent or dinged neck. If some of your brass is not round on the neck, then push it up over the expander ball before you change it out. That will make your necks round.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Man. So, should I run the brass thru the die without the bushing or swap it out and then run it thru?
