Red dot sights 9mm autos or big bore revolvers

Which would be worse on a quality red dot a 9mm auto that will run through 1000s of rounds per year. Or a big bore revolver.44 -454 ect.that only goes through no more than couple hundred a year? Heavy recoil vrs. Riding on a slide slamming for and aft.

Those 454's have some very snappy recoil. I bet they are hard on optics.

It is the short snappy pulses that are harder on optics. A 10-22 is harder on an optic than a AR 10 308. So in your case, the 9mm would be worse for them, but they are designed for that so not a big deal. I have tens of thousands of rounds through my Holosun and Trijicon RDSs without any issues.
