Recommended Metal and Plastic suppliers in Great Lakes area?

Moved to Wisconsin a year ago, about an hour east of Minneapolis. I am trying to find suppliers for Aluminum flat stock, round and rectangular steel, Drill rod, and Black Delrin round stock for items I manufacture. I have been getting raw materials from McMaster in Elmhurst, Ill. shipped up here via UPS. The shipping rates are a bit off putting, so I hope to find a supplier within a fairly short driving distance to save on shipping. Called a few places in Wisconsin with no luck. Suggestions much appreciated!

I second online metals. They have some bargains now and then but watch the shipping prices. It has to do with where they are shipping from.

Yeah I think they have at least 7 shipping points. I do get mine quick.
Watch the custom cut lengths. Some times it's cheaper to get the next
larger stock length. In some cases the custom cut can be cheaper.

I'll give ALRO & MSP Metals a call. I have purchased many items from Online Metals when I lived in Washington State, but mainly used McMaster from California. I just recently did a "will call" purchase of about $1400 from McMaster in Ill. when I was down there a for a visit to friends and relatives. Saved over a $100 shipping I'm sure, but that was a one time deal as I was near there. That place is like a city within a city, It's Huge! Thanks for all the suggestions! Happy New Year ! Joe

A&C Metals in Blaine has the best prices I have found, plus they cut to size! They do deliver, but I’m not sure how far out they go?

Sterling Plastics in Blaine / Lino Lakes area was my go to for Delrin (Acetal), as well as many other plastics, they also cut to size.

Jorganson (sp?) Metals on 169.

There’s a couple other places that I’ll have to look through receipts to find the names.
