I make my leather and kydex. Far from works of art but they are exactly the design I want. And I stuff them with knives I make, of similar craftsmanship. So far I've kept one for myself. Anyone can do this, and the satisfaction of self made surpasses that of buying for me.

Thank you sir for posting...I make damascus knives and always need sheaths. Before anyone asks how is it that I can make a knife and not a sheath.....I probably could if I had time. I am lucky to make 4 or 5 knives a year.

My first and only 'dangler' is a custom Harald Selvold Norwegian style knife. It's okay. I hadn't thought about comfort, but yes, I'd give it the nod for comfort. I prefer pouch style sheaths. They protect the knife better. IMHO. I also used a Spec Ops Combat Master for a good many years to carry a Randall #14. At the time it was jump qualified. Two retaining methods. As I said, leather, pouch sheath's are probably my favorites.
