I get mine from the ballistic performance of rifle bullets book the third edition from Bryan Litz and they seem to work perfectly

I usually start there and then modify it from that point to fit the real world on target results. I'm currently running 4 BCs in my model but I don't want to be even a tenth off out to 1250 yards if I can help it.

I have used bc as printed, velocity over my magneto speed then adjusted scope correction factor only one or two points and everything worked out great

I took Precision 2 last year and he really got into how to build your own drag models using Shooter as the basis.

We need to meet up out there some time.

I really like Ballistic AE, it’s not free, but it gives you solution real quick in either MoA or Mils.
You can store all your favourite loads and bring up your dope from the database without the need for phone data.

I have the paid, premium versions of shooter, ab mobile, and ballistic ae. Shooter has the simplest, most user-friendly UI. Ballistic ae has the worst. AB mobile has some advanced features but they got rid of velocity banded BCs in favor of custom bullet model support but the former is useful for sierra bullets.

I have at least 10 apps and agree with "mensajd"; Shooter and AB Mobile are the simplest to use. I require new shooters I work with to get "Shooter" first and learn the process for inputting data because it is so user friendly. Most all ballistic apps provide good data as long as your inputs are correct and any calibrations you make are done with verified distances AND your scope's turret values are correct.

I use Shooter the most, but have probably four different ones in my phone. I will say that if you want to try one for free to see if you’ll use it or how they work the Lapua app is pretty simple to use and it’s free. No as feature packed as others but for the average weekend warrior is pretty darn good and will at least let you know if you want to pay for a better one.

Try saving a bullet trajectory with "no wind" as a favorite. Then open it and apply a wind condition by hitting the wind symbol at the top of the page. What does it display as the influence of the wind on the point of impact at your zero distance and your required wind adjustment to compensate for this new wind? Try the same with the HUD. IMHO there are issues with this app that the developer fails to recognize.
