Recommendation for rings and bases (Vortex Diamondback)

I just ordered a Vortex Diamondback to go on a Savage 110 Varmint in .204. What bases and rings do you recommend?

On a budget, I 2nd the Burris XTR rings, but then again I run my DDM4 223/556 using the Weaver Tactical picatinny rings with great success as well.
If price is not an issue then you will not beat the quality of Badger Ordnance for both rings and bases. It is well worth the added cost for the reliability and durability in almost any situation.
It is wise to keep steel rings/ steel base combo or aluminum rings/aluminum base as they expand at the same rates.

Burris Signature XTR. They come rubber bushings that allow straight setup or various moa can't setups. They also prevent any marring if the scope tube.
+1 for XTR Rings
For bases the Burris XTR bases which are picatinny spaced and well made or you could find a one piece base that adds more MOA though you won't need it if you are using XTR Signature Rings. Regular XTR rings are nice, well made, though don't use inserts. The Signature XTR kits come with 0, 5, 10, and 20 MOA inserts for each ring. This allows you to combine positively or negatively to get very fine control over elevation

Say you have a base with 20 MOA and you want to adjust your setup so it has only 5 MOA of elevation. Using the ring inserts you can offset the elevation of your base.

By reversing the process, you can add to your MOA elevation. The instructions are very clear and you get a T20 wrench for the bases and a T15 wrench for the rings. Each ring has 3 screws per side, 6 total making the XTR rings some of the stoutest you can find. They are not light if you are are counting ounces

For a hunting set and forget rig, Talley lw one piece ring/base. Have not seen a rifle lately that required a bunch of windage at setup. I have had to use the Burris signature rings on Ruger #1's.

I have 2 sets of EGW's that only needed minor lapping so I consider them a good buy. I have 3 sets of the XTR Signature rings. They have never failed, are fun to tinker with, but the caps/bolts are not super impressive. The rest of the collection is Seekins, MPA, and Leupold. Of all the rings I own I think the Seekins are the best value (light, rock solid, no lapping).
