Recommend best beginner manual

What about the information included with the dies you purchase? They explain how to properly set up their respective dies. Do the die manufacturers know what they are talking about or are they just winging it as well?
If one is just interested in reloading for hunting and NOT caring about brass life the die manufs. instructions may be suitable. BUT, if better accuracy and case life matters forget the manufs. instructions for setting up a re-sizing die and set it up to ONLY bump the shoulders back app. .002. An exception would be if handloading for an auto rifle bump the shoulders @ .004 to insure good feeding results.

I agree. I was just throwing it out there for discussion.

Check out Internet Archives Digital Library at https://archive.org

Here's a link to the Lyman 48th Edition Reloading Handbook found on their website. It will open as a PDF file that you can download if you like what you see. They may have other editions available; I didn't check.

In 1992, I bought The Complete Reloading Manual - 9mmfrom Dillon when I bought my SDB and muddled along with it, the SDB manual and a trip to the library for my first few hundred reloads. The manual mostly has load tables, advertising and little "instruction." Then I bought Sierra Handgun Reloading Manual 3rd Edition (it was advertised in the Complete Reloading Manual). This was followed by Lyman 46th, Speer #12, Accurate Number One and finally Vihtavuori First Edition when I couldn't find any data for that fancy powder I bought on a whim. The worst part of all these manuals is that I have use for less than 10% of what is in them, which was kinda aggravating considering what I paid for them. With the Lyman manual available online (at the link above), YouTube videos and reloading data available on-line from bullet and powder manufacturers, I wouldn't bother buying a book unless I settled on either a bullet or powder manufacturer to concentrate on. Save your money for buying components and equipment. That's what the manufacturers really want you buying anyway. OTOH, I wonder about the posting of copyrighted documents on that site.

I wandered across the site below while looking for 45 Colt load data. It has a very good section on loading and good tips. The section on over pressure signs is done very well. A chronograph is a critical tool for any hand loader, I have one I purchased in the 90's. Unfortunately it has never come out of the box, since I've done most of my shooting at indoor ranges that would not allow me to set it up.

The ABC's of Reloading by Dean A. Grennell. It's an older book and out of print, but you can find used copies on Amazon.

You might also try a more recent book

Top-Grade Ammo: A Step-by-step Guide to Creating Quality Ammunition, by Glen Zediker.
