Recommend a good Cold Blue for touch-up?

Got a bud who left who left a muzzyloader in the case and it has some pretty serious surface rust. I offered to buff it off and oil it back up.

Would like to give it a good blue touch up, any recommendations.?

Tried Oxpho-blue yrs back with no success..

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Rod,
The big deal with Oxpho blue is de-grease the part twice, then de-grease the steel wool that you're using prior to the application. HUGE difference. Steel wool will rust without having something on it to prevent this. Mandatory to de-grease it.

This is the only one ive ever had good luck with,

Plus one on Larry's process. I get good results with the Oxphoblue when I degrease everything, lousy results when I don't.

I have used Wonder Blue on two barrels, one a smokepole, with good results. It takes a while and with repeated applications, you will like the result.
