Recoil reducers?

Does anyone use a recoil reducer in their stock? Shotgunners seem to swear by them. There seems to be two versions, springs and hydraulic.

I've never had a counter coil on a rifle, but have had one on every trap gun that I have owned in the last 20 yrs. Worth every dollar you spend on them.

brownells sells a mercury filled one that goes in the buttstock. I have installed many of these and they work fantastic
