Preference of recoil pad for Fclass shooting. Pachmayr Decelerator or Limbsaver? Shooting a 308 win

My preference is for the decelerator.... But as I said, it is MY preference...

A Kick Eze magnum pad tamed my 215's. My girlfriend who might be a hundred pounds soaking wet shot it with the Juggernauts and loves it.

Hey Bronc, I have never heard of "Kick-Eze"... Where can I read about and or "view" it on line? Thanks..

Google Kick EZ. Do think theirs are a cut above the others. Protektor is making me one of their shoulder pads with a layer of the Kick EZ sorbothane in it. I had to send them the sorbothane material, but they are looking into making it a standard product.

Not tried the others so I do not know. Just from my research, decided to try the Kick Ez and it worked for me...

I have a lot of experience with the decelerator. Great pads that hold up well. One KickEze and I like it too. I did read about folks that had chunks come off of them in the safe.

Limbsavers work but they are cheesy looking. Especially on a nice rifle. I had some that 'melted' onto/into the carpeted safe floor. Limbsaver replaced them quickly due to a bad batch of rubber. Got an email a month or two later saying they had another bad batch and to please return the two warranty replacements that they had sent me. I had already sold the rifles! In their defense, I have one that has been on my Benelli SBE for about 10 yrs and it looks as good as new.

I used to shoot a lot of trap (15,000 rnds/yr ) and for a 200 bird event with a 12 ga. shotgun that's a lot of recoil to absorb . Originally went with the Decelorator but then heard about guys going to the Kick-EZ .Tried it and never looked back . The Decelerator did hold up slightly better on the edge of the pad though . I'd go with the Kick-EZ .

The stock "pad" on the Savage FTR is worthless. Hard piece of something back there they call a recoil pad. My shoulder is getting beat up pretty bad with only shooting 20 shots

I'm not an FTR or F-Open shooter, but I've had both the Kick EEZ and the Pachmayr Decelerator pads.

I prefer my Kick EEZ.

I use the LimbSaver large grind to fit pads lfet full size on my F-Open rifles. 7mmRSAUM with 180 Hybrids and very comfortable to shoot all day. My F-T/R stock has some sort of pad from McMillan and it is going to be replaced with a LimbSaver before next season's matches start.
